(NEXSTAR) – Former Baltimore Ravens star kicker Justin Tucker will be suspended for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 season for violations of the NFL personal conduct policy, the league announced Thursday. Tucker, now a free agent, was released by the club in May after more than a dozen massage therapists reportedly accused him of inappropriate sexual behavior. Tucker's suspension will start Aug. 26, meaning he can't be reinstated until Tuesday, November 11. The five-time All-Pro kicker will be able to serve the suspension even if he isn't under contract, but if a team does sign him during the offseason, he will be able to attend training camp and participate in preseason games, according to the NFL. Ravens coach John Harbaugh called the decision to cut Tucker "complex." “You’re talking about arguably the best kicker in the history of the game, and like we said, it’s multilayered. It’s complicated, but in the end, it all comes back to what you have to do to get ready for your team to play the first game,” Harbaugh said in May. “I think if you step back and take a look at all the issues and all the ramifications, you can understand that we’ve got to get our football team ready, and we’ve got to have a kicker ready to go. That was the move that we decided to make, so in that sense, it’s a football decision.” The Associated Press contributed to this report.
